What’s the Public Test Server?
The public test server went live last week, giving YOU the chance to test upcoming adjustments to the game and provide us with crucial feedback.
If you don’t know what the test server is, it’s another instance of Brick-Force which is running for testing purposes.
We’ve opened this test server to the public and copied all characters and accounts over from the live server (your normal Brick-Force account). Each test account was credited with 30,000 tokens so that you can check out all of the the adjustments.
You can find out more about how to access the public test server here.
Marko Dieckmann, Managing Director and CTO at Infernum Studios had this to say about the Public Test Server:
“The public test server is an important part of Brick-Force’s evolution, as it helps us determine how new changes react to real-life behavior of the community rather than test scripts run by a computer, or internal testing. With your help, based on the data we will gather during the test period, our dev team will be able to react accordingly, making tweaks and changes if needed. The Brick-Force community literally is able to help improve the game, by helping Infernum to determine the best solutions for everyone.
This version of the test server that you may currently be playing on focuses on under-the-hood changes. The most significant changes are bandwidth and traffic optimizations. The number of packets sent by each user has been drastically reduced, resulting in better performance. Brick-Force players can also take comfort in the fact that peer-to-peer data sharing is no longer used when connecting to a match.”
We’re really grateful for all of your help in assisting us with the improvements to the game. Your continued support and feedback will help us continually progress the development of Brick-Force.
