A Day in the Life of a CM
Hey Brick-Forcers! My name is Nick Zasowski, or as most of you may know me on the forums, Zazzer. I’m here today to give a proper introduction of myself and give you a peek into what a typical day at Infernum Productions is like for a Community Manager like myself.
Aside from video games, I’m really big on nearly all kinds of music, I read lots of comics, and spend way too much time on the Internet.
Back in June, I made the move from Philadelphia, PA (that’s in the United States for all you international folk) to Berlin, Germany to join the Brick-Force team. As a lifelong fan of video games, it should come as no surprise that this really is a dream gig for me. Boy, have I had a wonderful time since then. Every day I come into work excited and ready to interact with fans.
In the photo seen to the right, you’ll see me and what I refer to as “The Command Center” aka my desk. I sit by the window where it is very cold (German winter seems to have arrived early). This is where I can be found furiously tap-tap-tapping away at the keyboard responding to threads on the forums or sending out a quick update on Twitter.
Contrary to popular belief, community managers do much more than just sit on Facebook and forums all day. While it is one part of what I do, I’m also responsible for writing much of the English content you will find on the official Brick-Force website. In addition, I translate the patch notes from technical hoopla to something that is a bit more readable for the average person, and even help test the game from time to time.
My favorite thing about being a Community Manager (other than interacting with you wonderful people) is that my position is never the same from day-to-day and I am able to work alongside each different department.
I’ve aimed to be a familiar name on the forums, but if you ever want to get at me fast and direct, you can shoot me an email at nzasowski@infernum.com.
Talk to you soon!
Zazzer
